Karina Pérez Aragón was born in Argentina. She completed her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in 1989. In 1990 she began her studies at the Facultad de Bellas Artes of S. M. de Tucuman National University, graduating in 1995 with a Masters of Fine Arts emphasizing Studio Painting.

In 1995 Pérez Aragón moved to Austria receiving her Kunst Magister diploma with emphasis on Studio Painting and Graphic Art from the Bildende Kunst University in 1997. She stayed in Salzburg for seven years where she presented her work in numerous solo shows and group projects.

Since 2002 Pérez Aragón has been living in New York. She studied at Pratt Institute graduating with honors with a Master of Fine Arts degree in February 2005.  From 2006 to 2008 she has been working as an Art Educator at The Metropolitan Museum of Arts, El Museo del Barrio and The Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. In 2009 Karina started traveling in between USA and Argentina, developing her artistic carrier and still giving lectures for the education department at the Met periodically.
